About Catherine

Catherine has over 30 years of professional and legal experience in a wide range of fields. Working as a Claims Manager and then a Senior Claims Legal Consultant, Catherine liaised with corporate clients involved in business and claims. This exposure to liability and loss formed Catherine’s experience with business law and civil litigation, both in private practice and as counsel for international and major U.S. law firms.

Catherine received a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she also served on Law Review. After passing the Connecticut State Bar, Catherine served as associate counsel at Brown, Paindiris & Scott. There, Catherine adeptly handled matters of general litigation, contracts, business litigation, criminal law and workers’ compensation, gaining hands-on legal experience by resolving difficult matters for people in personal crisis.

Catherine then moved to LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae, where she spent four years handling matters of insurance coverage, liability, and risk transfer on behalf of the firm’s clients. Catherine furthered her practice of insurance litigation through three years of legal experience as the Assistant Division Counsel for Chartis Insurance and one year each as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel for Allied World Insurance and Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Aspen Specialty Insurance. Following a position as Senior Counsel for Gordon & Rees LLP, an insurance law firm, Catherine went into private practice.

Matters she handles for clients include family matters, civil litigation regarding insurance coverage or nursing facility billing disputes, medical malpractice claims, workers’ compensation matters for plaintiffs, personal injury, child custody, probate matters, and the administration of last will and testament.

Catherine welcomes new clients from Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, Tolland, and Windham counties. If you seek an attorney to represent you in a matter involving matrimonial law, civil litigation, or workers’ compensation, Catherine invites you to contact Mollica Law Office PC at 860-922-0239.
